Research Interests

Hyowon Ban is an Assistant Professor in Department of Geography, California State University, Long Beach specialized in geospatial techniques and urban geography. Currently, she is interested in geographic information science, geovisualization, virtual reality, participatory GIS semantic uncertainty, urban geography particularly exurbanization, urban ontologies, qualitative-quantitative methods, world regional geography, spatial analytical methods, and spatial analysis of art performance.
