Graduate Programs

The Economics Department offers three graduate programs: the MA in Economics, the MA in Global Logistics Accelerated Program, and the MA in Global Logistics Hybrid Program.

"Having a graduate degree in economics from CSULB has helped me in many ways, sometimes in a nontraditional career choice such as software engineering. In addition to being able to engage in more thoughtful discussions at business meetings and economic conferences, I was able to apply what I learned to the development of our company’s software solution for nonprofits involving program tracking and evaluation."

Master of Arts in Economics

As business becomes increasingly quantitative, students need strong analytical and empirical skills to compete in the marketplace. The Master of Arts in Economics at CSULB provides students with the skills they need to succeed in postions in the public or private sector and gives a solid foundation for students who will pursue a doctorate degree.

Master of Arts in Global Logistics Accelerated Program (MAGL-AP)

The tremendous increase in international trade over the past 20 years has generated demand for highly skilled supply chain and logistics professionals. The Accelerated MAGL from CSULB provides students with a focused, multi-disciplinary curriculum that will give them the tools to succeed in positions with transporation providers, shippers, and auxiliary industries.

Master of Arts in Global Logistics Hybrid Program (MAGL-HP)
COMING IN FALL 2012

Combining the rigorous coursework of the MAGL-AP with the flexible scheduling that combines in-person and on-line instruction, the program is intended to allow working professionals to obtain their high-valued degree in less than two years.
