Part-Time Lecturer Position

Position:                                                Part-Time Lecturer – Communication Studies 

Effective Date:                                      Fall Semester:        August 19, 2013 – December 24, 2013 

                                                               Spring Semester:  January 21, 2014 – May 23, 2014                                                              

Probable Salary Range:  Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Minimum Qualifications:  MA in Communication Studies or related field (by date of appointment); demonstrated potential for effective teaching experience; ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:  Ph.D. in Communication Studies or related field; academic

specialization to meet needs of department for instruction in public speaking, interpersonal communication,

organizational communication, communication theory and research, performance studies, argumentation, rhetoric and public address.

Duties:  Teach available courses (3 – 12 units) as needed.
