Dr. Enrique Ellis-Rios, a renowned musicologist, professional musician, and CHLS instructor, will explore the origins, developments and highlights of Rumba, Guaguanco, Merengue, Bomba, Plena, Cumbia and other rhythms. Dr. Ellis-Rios will lecture and play the music! Outstanding musicians from throughout Southern California will join Enrique in performing la música latina!
