Asian Studies Graduate Society (ASGS)
The purpose of our group is to provide support and resources for graduate students within the Department of Asian and Asian American Studies at CSULB, to promote an interdisciplinary approach to the study of Asia, and to enhance the experience of students in the Department of Asian and Asian American Studies graduate programs and their affiliated curricula.

Events:
- Chinese Film and Culture Festival (October 14-26, 2010) – Don’t miss the special screening of the New Kangding Love Song ib 10/26/2010 at 6:00 p.m., in the William Link Theater. Post-screening discussion of this new film with the “Roger Ebert” of China-Beijing Film Academy’s Professor Huang Shixian. Chinese-English interpretation of the discussion will be provided by ASGS.

- Grad Student Conference (March 18-19, 2011 at the CSULB’s Anatol Center) – “Life and Identity in Asian Contact Zones” – Call for papers will be posted 11/1/2010.
