Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR) is the university's mandatory orientation program offered to all students before they begin their first semester at CSULB. You will enroll in your classes through the SOAR program. On your workshop date, you will receive an overview of the basic requirements to earn your degree, general education and major classes, and campus resources available to students. Learning Alliance staff will meet you after lunch to provide you with personalized academic advising and to assist you in planning your schedule and registering for classes.
