Event Requirement

T

he Learning Alliance requires that students get involved their first semester on campus through the Three Event Requirement. This gives students the chance to attend different activities and see what CSULB has to offer. Many past students have commented that they are glad we “forced them” to get out and attend campus events because they probably wouldn’t have done it on their own.

We encourage you to go to the events with other Learning Alliance students or if you would prefer, venture out on your own! Of your three events, only 2 can be from the same area (recreational/sporting, cultural, performing arts, academic, etc.). So you can’t go to 2 volleyball games and 1 water polo game. To get credit for an event, you must attach the ticket stub to your Events Verification Sheet (EVS). If there were no tickets for the event, see your University 100 instructor to find out if you can count the event. If you need to turn in the ticket stub for another class (i.e. Theater or Music), show it to an Alliance staff member and they’ll sign your EVS.
