The Learning Alliance is an academic program for incoming freshmen at California State University, Long Beach. Since Fall 1992, we've worked with more than 2,500 students in
our innovative learning community. It's our goal to help you as you make the move to college and acclimate to life at CSULB. We've been able to achieve this by providing our students with academic challenge and personal support, which directly impact students' learning experiences, both in and out of class. We also offer some of the university's best faculty members teaching small connected or theme-based classes, which provide a unique transition to the university. As a result of your efforts and our assistance, we believe you will have a memorable college experience with the CSULB Learning Alliance.

The Learning Alliance was created as an intentional learning community that actively engages students and faculty in the learning process, while fostering a sense of belonging and cooperation within the program and the university. We strive to create a community of learners and scholars in which students feel connected to and supported by the Alliance and the campus.
