Email

  • Where do I get a campus email address?
    New campus email addresses can be created at http://www.csulb.edu/namemaster/.
  • How can I change my email password?
    Your password can be changed at http://www.csulb.edu/namemaster/.
  • What do I do if I forgot the password to my email?
    You will need to visit the Technology Help Desk counter in the Horn Center with your campus ID to have it reset. The hours and location of the Technology Help Desk Walk-in Service Desk are posted on their website.
  • I keep getting the message "You are using 80% of you quota. You will soon no longer be able to receive mail".
    What do I do?

    First, you will need to empty your trash and clean up your Inbox. If you have done both you feel like you need more space for your email, send an email net-help@csulb.edu to ask for an email quota increase.
  • How can I access my email from home?
    Use the CSULB Webmail by visiting https://webmail.csulb.edu/.
  • Who do I contact if I have further questions regarding email quotas and restrictions?
    Simply send an email to net-help@csulb.edu and they can provide you with answers to any policies or restrictions regarding email attachments, number of recipients, or quotas.
  • I am getting lots of "junk" emails. What do I do?
    There are many ways to filter out "junk" emails (also known as SPAM). The most effective way to get rid of it is to create a filter in Webmail. Check the campus guide on creating rules and filters for instructions on filtering out SPAM.
