Brozino replaces Tim Dickson who left after 10 years at LBSU

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Dedan Brozino has been named the new Director of Corporate Sales/Marketing and Promotions in the athletic department at Long Beach State University.

Brozino will replace Tim Dickson who left after 10 years at Long Beach State. Brozino has worked in the Long Beach State athletic department since February 2007 as an intern, a graduate assistant and a full-time employee.

For the last 13 months, Brozino has served as the Assistant Director of Marketing and Special Projects at The Beach. He worked primarily with men's basketball, while also handling a number of other marketing and promotions duties. Before being promoted to the assistant director's position, Brozino worked as a marketing assistant for seven months at LBSU (Nov. 2007-May 2008) and a marketing intern, marketing graduate assistant and a athletics development intern for nine months (Feb. 2007-Nov. 2007).

Brozino is a 2006 graduate of DeSales University in Center Valley, Penn., where he earned a degree in sp sport management while also working in the athletic department. He received his master's from Long Beach State in 2008.

Congratulations to Learning Team 13 our newest alumni of the Graduate Program in Sport Management. On February 18th, 2009 the Sport Management family celebrated with the 17 students who successfully completed the 18 month program. The event, Reception- Orientation - Colloquium (ROC) celebrates the accomplishments of the outgoing learning team and welcomes the newest learning team. The Graduate Program in Sport Management Welcomes Learning Team 16

LT 16

On February 18th, 2009, Learning Team 16 embarked on their 18 month journey in The Graduate Program in Sport Management . The graduating cohort was replaced by 29 eager new faces. Although the majority of the students are from California, the class also has representation from New York, Wisconsin, Michigan and Arizona as well as Korea and Japan. The newest group of students include: (first row left) Patrick Maridon, Shane Ampe, Randolph Garcia,Megan Cavan, Trisha Ozawa, Taliah Chatterfield,Natalie Clafton,Sarah Oldfield, Jino DeCastro, Allison Welsh, Josh Robbins,Allison Slater and Mark Norwood.
