Urban Youth Academy Interns: Cristina Scotti, Darren Smith, and Kazuhiko Kashiwagi met baseball greats Derek Jeter and Long Beach State Alumni Evan Longoria at the 1st Annual Urban Wood Bat Classic.
The internships are designed to provide a variety of opportunities for students to participate in sport management activities and programs in a variety of practice settings. The purpose of the internship is to prepare students for careers in the sports industry through practical application of knowledge and skills.
The internships are also designed to refine and extend courses and experiences in the MA degree program as well as prior education and experience and to build a network of contacts.
