As President of the Los Angeles Sports Council since 1988, David has played a significant role in virtually every major sporting event that has been brought to the Los Angeles area in the last two decades, including the Super Bowl, the Breeder's Cup and the finals of soccer's World Cup and Women's World Cup. An alumnus of UCLA, Simon served as a Vice President of the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee and is the current president of the Southern California Committee for the Olympic Games, the organization responsible for preparing Olympic bids on behalf of Los Angeles.
