Dr. Kerrie Kauer, Ph.D. 
Dr. Kauer received her Ph.D. in Sport Studies at The University of Tennessee in 2005. Her primary areas of teaching and scholarship focus on social and cultural aspects of sport with an expertise in issues of gender and sexuality. Dr. Kauer's line of research includes feminist and queer perspectives in sport, sport and activism, and embodied social justice.Currently, Dr. Kauer is the Coaching and Sport & Exercise Psychology Option coordinator in the Department of Kinesiology at CSU Long Beach. She teaches Sport in US Culture for the Graduate Program in Sport Management, Sport & US Culture and Psychology of Coaching in the Kinesiology graduate program, and Women in Sport and Socio-cultural Dimensions of Sport in the undergraduate Kinesiology program.
