Professor Crowe has extensive clinical experience in the areas of hospice, spirituality, HIV and geriatric social work practice. He joined the full-time faculty as a lecturer in 1998, after 8 years of directing the CSULB HIV Mental Health Program. His current assignments as the Assistant Coordinator of Field Education include Coordinator of the Older Adults and Families Concentration, Coordinator of the Geriatric Social Work Education Consortium, Co-Coordinator of the Mental Health Services Act’s CalSWEC Mental Health Stipend Program and the Coordinator of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health's (IUC) Student Stipend Program. He teaches field education seminar classes at the undergraduate and graduate levels.He is very involved in many community social service organizations and is a board member of the Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services, the Jubilee Consortium and a board member of the CSULB Interfaith Center's Episcopal Chaplaincy. He received the College of Health and Human Services Community Service award in 2007.
