Biographical Information

Professor Foster ("Mike") has been on the faculty at CSULB since 1994. Professor Foster teaches Field Seminars to undergraduate seniors and first and second year MSW students. Prior to joining the faculty at CSULB, Mike worked in child welfare arena of foster care, group home care, adoption, child abuse prevention and early intervention. He has a strong interest in Latino issues; gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender issues; and leadership and clinical supervision. Professor Foster is an active member of NASW and is the former Chair of the Jane Addams Council of NASW California.
