Daniel R. Jimenez

Biographical Information

Dr. Jimenez has extensive experience working in the nonprofit world and in the public social welfare system. He has served on many nonprofit agency boards of directors and on other community task forces and committees. Dr. Jimenez began teaching social work courses in 1994 and has taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. His area of specialization is macro practice and he has taught courses in social policy related to older adults as well as children, youth and families, administration, community organization and planning, social work and the law, and other social work seminar courses. He has published various articles related to mental health, HIV/AIDS, and teen pregnancy. He was awarded a sabbatical for fall, 2007 and is currently working on an article related to HIV among African American and Latina women. He is a member of NASW and CSWE.
