Message from the Director: Dr. Christian Molidor

Christian Molidor

Hello, and welcome to California State University at Long Beach – or as we call it, The Beach! The primary purpose of CSU Long Beach’s School of Social Work is to mentor and prepare students at the undergraduate and graduate levels to become exceptional social workers, transforming and enriching the quality of life for those most in need.

Our School is propelled by its foundation of social work values and ethics with a mission to develop skilled and ethical leaders who advocate economic and social justice at all levels of society.  Our outstanding and diverse faculty are continuously involved in mentoring, teaching, research, and community service, with our field internship serving as the core experience to the students’ rigorous educational journey.

There is so much here of which I’m proud; none more so than our 5,800 social work alumni. Take some time to read through our materials and explore the many facets of social work we offer.  Perhaps you will discover that the CSU Long Beach School of Social Work is the perfect fit and allow yourself to follow your path to the profession of social work.

I look forward to meeting you,
