CSULB Social Work Alumni Group (SWAG)

Greetings Everyone:

As honored members and Co-Presidents of California State University, Long Beach's Social Work Alumni Group (S.W.A.G.), we would like to welcome and applaud your continued interests and involvement in the CSULB Social Work School and Family.  

Speaking from personal experience, we can attest to the impact of the CSULB Social Work program, as it fostered our relationship as friends and colleagues. We have reflected on our shared educational experience with warmhearted memories that often include a multitude of life changing events. It is our hope that you, as alumni, will also have the opportunity to benefit from building life long friendships, avenues for support, resources and additional possibilities for professional development. For this and many other reasons, S. W. A.G. has historically remained dedicated in maintaining such fellowship and support by servicing our alumni, and promoting the continued growth and development of the School of Social Work at CSULB. 

Your affiliation with S.W.A.G. is vital in such endeavors as field placement for social work students, representing the diversity of social work practice, open dialogue between the professional and academic environments, networking with fellow colleagues, professional development advancement, and continuing the success of the CSULB Social Work Family. We look to provide you with opportunities to maintain friendships and network by joining us at our various scheduled events throughout the year. Furthermore, we would like to invite you to contact us with any questions and/or suggestions.
