The Master of Social Work application deadline is March 1, 2010. The department will start accepting applications after October 1, 2009. Applications will not be accepted after the deadline.
If applying to the Advanced Standing program, the WPE, TOEFL, and any pending prerequisites must be completed by the end of the spring semester or June 1st .
Applicants are required to apply to the University (www.csumentor.edu) as well as to the Social Work Department and we recommend that applicants apply to both simultaneously. Admission to the department is contingent upon admission to the University by Enrollment Services.
Prospective students are encouraged to attend one of the Department's information meetings (see link "Information Meetings"). These events are held on campus twice a month beginning in October through February. Please continue to check the website periodically for updates!!

A complete department application can be submitted even though an applicant has not completed the Elementary Statistics prerequisite; however, the applicant must indicate on the application that the prerequisite course is in progress or indicate the semester/quarter that the course will be taken. Due to administrative reasons, we will not consider an applicant who needs to complete the prerequisite during the summer prior to the fall semester that the program begins.
