Barbara Hitchcock is a Children’s Services Administrator I, employed by Los Angeles County DCFS. She has been a DCFS Trainer for 10 years and has been at the CWTC for 5 years. She co-trains, with Therese Pekala, MSW, newly hired CSWs in the DCFS/IUC CSW Core Academy. She has worked for DCFS for 20 years in various assignments- CSW, Forensic Interview Specialist at the Child Crisis Center at the Harbor UCLA Medical Center, and Specialized Services.Ms. Hitchcock has trained at National Conferences, for LA County DCFS, Law Enforcement and DMH Staff; for Regional Center Staff; CSULB Graduate Students and Faculty, on many subjects including: Child Sexual Abuse, Interviewing Young Children, Child Development, Child Abuse Identification and Child Abuse Reporting Laws.
