Health On Wheels

The Health on Wheels Project is a unique collaboration between Cal. State Long Beach, Kaiser Permanente, City of Norwalk, and Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District.

Health on Wheels Project Goals

• Provide preventative health care
• Improve the health status of participating students
• Empower parents as primary care providers through health education and resource accessibility
• Strengthen linkages with the community

Services Available

• Treatment for common medical illnesses
• Preventative medical examinations and anticipatory guidance
• Immunizations
• Health Education
• Case Management and referrals

Educational Experiences for Nursing Students

CSULB nursing students have the opportunity to be apart of this unique program. Clinical preceptorships are available for pediatric nurse practitioner students, students in their N450 semester and community health nursing students.
