Two degree programs are available to the student: Master of Arts degree in Kinesiology with Five Options and Master of Science degree in Kinesiology with four Options. The student may select the thesis/project track or the comprehensive examination track. The student who chooses the thesis/project track is required to complete a thesis or a project. The student who chooses the comprehensive examination track is required to take KIN 695. The minimum unit requirement for the MA degree major program is 30 units for thesis/project students and 36 units for comprehensive examination students. The minimum unit requirement for the MS degree major program is 33 units for thesis/project students and 39 units for comprehensive examination students.

Graduate Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the MA/MS Degree, students are expected to attain the following learning outcomes:
1. Students will apply their Kinesiology-related knowledge and skills to think critically and ethically in examining issues and solving problems associated with their chosen subdiscipline.
2. Students will communicate effectively and persuasively, both verbally and in writing, in academic and professional settings.
3. Students will interpret, evaluate, and apply the professional literature of their chosen Kinesiology subdiscipline.
