On April 13-15th, the Far West Athletic Trainer’s Association held its Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposia in San Diego, CA. Approximately 930 professionals and students engaged in speaker presentations, clinical workshops, research and grants poster presentations, and educator sessions. More than 35 ATS from the CSULB ATEP attended the event.
In addition, ATEP students: Mallori Tittle, Kathleen Johnson, Antoinette Beaston, and Chelsea McGee; competed in the student presentations in the category of case study. Their presentation, titled "Three Helmets, One Knee" was selected as the most outstanding case study presentation. The students received recognition at the awards banquet, a certificate and plaque acknowledging their achievement.

In the pouring rain, t he CSULB ATEP participated in the Walk for Thought hosted by CATA on March 17th, 2012. The Walk for Thought is a fundrasing campaign for the Brain Injury Association of California (BIACAL), which is a chartered state affiliate of the Brain Injury Assocaition of America (BIAA). They promote awareness of brain injury on a state, regional, and local level by providing information and resources as well as prevention and awareness campaings.
