Admission to the Program

In the California State University, an undergraduate major is designated as impacted when the number of applications received the first month of the filing period is greater that the available spaces. Such degree majors are authorized to use a pre-major code and supplementary admission criteria to screen applicants. The BS in Athletic Training is an highly impacted program and has additional major specific admission criteria.

Starting fall 2013, the CSULB ATEP went to a once-a-year admission process. All continuing and transfer students must complete the online program application during the filing period of January 1 - February 1. Program admission is effective fall with clinical education beginning the following spring.
