HCA Student Forum

The California State University Long Beach Health Care Administration Student Forum (HCASF) is an official student chapter of the American College of Health Care Executives, and a recognized campus student academic organization. HCASF provides a vehicle for constructive student involvement, recognition, and representation in the profession of healthcare administration. Its mission is: To promote an environment conducive to educational and ethical development of personal and social skills for effective leadership in healthcare organizations.

To learn more about, and become a member of HCASF, go to the CSULB online "BeachBoard" web site: http://beachboard.csulb.edu. Go to "Organizations," and search for or click on "HCA Student Forum." You may download an application as well as obtain contact information for officers and the faculty sponsor. This site also contains information on HCA meetings, community events of interest to students preparing for careers in health administration as well as job and paid internship opportunities.

Activities

  • Develop associations with local and regional healthcare executive groups to enhance academic and career opportunities.
  • Invite alumni and health care administration practitioners to meet with students.
  • Participate in campus-wide student government.
  • Advise the HCA Program Director and faculty of student concerns and suggestions for improvement.
  • Help students network and find internships and jobs.
  • Have FUN with fellow students and alumni!
