Visit your Academic Advisor. The academic advising process is very important to any degree-seeking student at CSULB. Whether your academic plan is the pursuit of a BS or MS Degree, or a certification, the Department of Health Care Administration faculty work toward assuring your success.
Undergraduatea advisors are alphabetically assigned to students by last name. Last names beginning with "A through F" are assigned to Dr. Freshman. She can be reached at: brenda.freshman@csulb.edu. Last Names begining with "G through N" are assigned to Dr. O'Lawrence. He can be reached at henry.olawrence@csulb.edu. Last names beginnig with "O through Z" are assigned to Dr. Erylana. She can be reached at: erlyana.erlyana@csulb.edu.
All advisors make their own appointments.
Academic advising is a partnership between you and your advisor; you each have responsibilities in the advising process. You can help your advisor by: 1) having transcripts and other information available about prior coursework; 2) completing prerequisite courses; and 3) allocating enough time to study if you, like most students, work part or full time while a student.
First, advising allows students the opportunity to know their academic options.

You'll find specific program requirements outlined in the catalog. These requirements are also discussed by your advisor during academic advising.
Third, advising can bring awareness to students about college policies and procedures.
Finally, advising is essential to developing an academic plan.
An academic plan is your course of action outlining what courses you will need to take when and prepare you to graduate.
