Statement of Professional Engagement:

Dr. Tolbert's areas of expertise include criminology, cex, and gender. She is particularly interested in exploring the facilitators and barriers affecting the way women report sex crimes related to various forms of predatory criminal behavior and victim/survivor response patterns.

Research Interests

  • Sex and gender issues in criminology and victimology.
  • Stalking and other forms of predatory behaviors.
