Freshmen Fall Advising

The University requires all freshmen to receive academic advising during their first semester in order to register for second semester courses. If you do not receive academic advising during your first semester, your registration hold will not be lifted.

Students pursuing a major in the College of Health & Human Services (CHHS) may meet this requirement by meeting with an advisor in the CHHS Academic Advising & Resource Center (AARC) to have their schedule checked off.

Instructions on how to complete the advising requirement have been emailed to CHHS freshmen and are posted on BeachBoard under the "College of Health & Human Services" Organization.

Students who are interested in pursuing a CHHS major but are not currently declared should visit the AARC to declare the correct major and request appropriate BeachBoard access.
