The Dean's Circle Dinner

Dean's Circle Dinner picture of Dean Millar Speaker

The College of Health & Human Services celebrated the induction of new Dean’s Circle member’s emerita professors Mel Leach, Alumna Sharlene Goodman and emerita professor Jo Redmon at the Dean’s Circle dinner on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the Japanese Garden. The Dean’s Circle was founded as the college’s premier support group to create new opportunities for leadership giving and to recognize its most loyal and generous donors (individuals, foundations and corporations). It also serves to promote a greater tradition of private philanthropy and stronger affiliation with the college’s schools and departments.

Members of The Dean’s Circle are recognized for their major gift support to the college that has created opportunities for current and future students to make an impact in the health and human services professions. The Dean’s Circle members are comprised of our alumni, traditional donors and new donors whose contributions are vital to advancing the college’s academic mission and reputation. For the upcoming university campaign Dean Kenneth Millar seeks new members to join The Dean’s Circle whose philanthropic leadership is crucial to advancing the college’s academic goals. The levels of recognition in The Dean’s Circle are based upon the donors’ historic cumulative giving to the College of Health & Human Services (click here for more information about the Dean’s Circle).

During the dinner, Dean’s Circle members, alumna Linda Haley and Dr. Joseph F. Prevratil, J.D., Chief Executive Officer of the Archstone Foundation spoke about the transformative effect of personal philanthropy.
