Brenda Freshman
Brenda Freshman serves as Chair of the William Dickson Faculty Fellows Program and Director of Research at the Ukleja Center for Ethical Leadership at California State University, Long Beach. She became involved with the center after receiving one of its Ethics Across the Curriculum awards for integrating an ethics component into her Health Care Management and Administration course.
Brenda is an assistant professor in the Health Care Administration Program at CSULB, where she has been a full-time faculty member since 2007. From 1996-2006, she served as a faculty member at the UCLA School of Public Health, lecturing and training health care professionals in managerial and leadership competencies.
Brenda earned her B.S. in Psychology from UCLA, M.A. in Applied Psychology from University of Santa Monica, M.S. in Organizational Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology, and Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology. Her research and practice interests concentrate on collaboration across disciplines, workforce development, ethics training, and how thoughts and emotions influence behavior, productivity and quality of life. Brenda is a highly regarded speaker and has been facilitating workshops on self-development and leadership skills since 1993.
