Programs for Academic Year 2008-2009
The Ukleja Center for Ethical Leadership will offer several educational programs for the business and professional communities during the current and 2008-2009 academic years.
First, the Ukleja Center will continue to offer Leadership Roundtable executive briefings in collaboration with LeadershipTraQ.

Center Accomplishments
Since Sept. 2007 the Ukleja Center for Ethical Leadership has completed the following programs:
In Oct. 2007 the Ukleja Center for Ethical Leadership welcomed its first William Dickson Leader-in-Residence, Dr. Robert Lorber, President of Lorber Kamai Consulting Group and co-author of Putting the One Minute Manager to Work. Dr. Lorber was able to share his governance insights with faculty, students, and community leaders.
The Center’s Ethics Across the Curriculum initiative, which grants pedagogical stipends to faculty members who integrate a 3-hour ethics module within their courses, recently selected six faculty proposals from various colleges and disciplines. Congratulations to all recipients, and to the many students that will benefit.
In its second year, the California Student Leadership Institute has 19 students enrolled and features guest speakers sharing ethical challenges from multiple organizations such as JetBlue Airways and Boeing Company. to engage in service learning. This year, for the service learning component, students chose to volunteer at Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times with pediatric cancer patients and their families.
Finally, Ethics at the Beach, a half-day on-campus ethics seminar for students, is scheduled for April 18, 2008. Dr. James Manseau Sauceda, Director of the CSULB Multicultural Center, Patricia Eyres, Attorney at Law, and Kurtis Oakley, Ethics Program Manager at Northrup Grumman Corporation, will be sharing their expertise on ethical communication in a global society.

College Accomplishments
The College of Business Administration presently offers the following four courses that have a business ethics component: BLAW 320 Legal and Regulatory Environment of Business (undergraduate-level), BLAW 520 Legal, Regulatory, and Ethical Environment of Business (graduate), BLAW 624 Cyberlaw, and MGMT 326 Management and Society.
The College recently developed jointly with the College of Liberal Arts (Department of Philosophy) CBA 400/PHIL 400 Business Ethics, which be offered starting the 2005/06 academic year as a team-taught course that will satisfy the University's General Education Capstone requirement.
The College of Liberal Arts also offers the following three ethics courses: PHIL 362I Ethics and Computer Technology, PHIL 363 Ethical Theory, and PHIL 403I Medical Ethics.
