Community College Mentoring Program

The Community College Mentoring Program hopes to promote increased college participation, facilitate transition, and provide exposure to university culture. The CSULB mentors provide information and develop skills that enable community college students to succeed. Mentors lead seminars and information sessions that focus on self-exploration, campus resources, college application and college life.
Applications Due: To Be Offered in Fall 2010.
Fall Semester
The fall semester begins with a two-day training building cohesion within the group and creating workshops to best help Cerritos Community College students. Students will also attend all SCPD major events beginning with the SCPD Kick off and the Holiday Mixer.
Spring Semester
The spring semester includes 5 Cerritos College visits, a CSULB campus visit and an evening of recognition at the SCPD Awards Banquet.
Application Requirements
- Be a full-time Cal State Long Beach business major student
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher
