10th Annual Book Drive for
Willard Elementary

Student Center for Professional Development (SCPD) hosted its 10th annual book drive at Willard Elementary on March 12, 2010, providing over 1,000 books to each Willard student and the school library.
Thank you to all student & Corporate Mentor volunteers as well as in-kind donors.

 

SCPD has an On-line Book Drive Fundraising Campaign starting December 4, 2009 to February 15, 2010. The Book Drive will provide each Willard student a grade-appropriate book that he or she can take home.

Second year corporate mentees Angela Amenero, James Squire, and Rebecca Courdy lead the fundrasing campaign. The campaign is designed to expose SCPD students to philanthropic and civic engagement activities. Each of the three (3) student-led teams needs to raise $1,000 for books by mid-February 2010, with 100% of the proceeds going towards buying each child one book to own.

Student Competition has ended but Book Drive Donation still open.
