Dr. Stuart L. Farber Leadership Award
This award was established by Dean of Students Emeritus Dr. Stuart L. Farber, former advisor to the Associated Business Students Organization Council (ABSOC). It is presented to a student who exemplifies “respect, integrity, civility, and values”.
Amount/Award: $500 (one available)
Criteria:
- Must be a major or minor in the College of Business (CBA)
- Must have completed at least one year of service as a CBA student organization officer or ABSOC officer
- Must have a cumulative CSULB GPA of 2.75 or better and not be on probation of any kind
- Must be currently enrolled at CSULB in a minimum of 6 units

Students may be self-nominated or nominated by a CBA student organization or by an ABSOC Executive Board member.
Submit the application form and maximum one-page summary of activities and accomplishments as a CBA student organization/ABSOC officer by 12 midnight on Monday, April 12, 2010 via email only to Dr. Caveness, jcavenes@csulb.edu.
Additional information:
After being screened for eligibility, each eligible candidate’s qualifications must be presented orally and in writing (one-page summary mentioned above) by the nominees (if self-nominated) or by a representative at an Associated Business Students Organization Council (ABSOC) meeting. This meeting will take place at least one week (date TBA) prior to the spring 2010 ABSOC Banquet. ABSOC voting delegates will vote on the award recipient. The award will be presented at the ABSOC Banquet which is scheduled on April 30, 2010.
