Gary Cohn (’76, finance) was honored as the College of Business Administration’s Distinguished Alumni of 2009 at the university’s annual Alumni Awards Banquet. Gary was chosen because he exemplifies the three “E”s of the CBA: Excellence, Execution and Engagement.
Cohn has over 30 years of experience in the corporate and nonprofit sectors and was recently promoted to senior vice president and manager of commercial banking services for City National Bank. His community service and engagement is extensive, including serving from 1991 to 2007 as the executive director of Congregation Emanu-El, a 160-year-old religious institution in San Francisco.
Cohn continues to stay engaged with the CBA, acting as a host for Bay Area alumni events and visiting campus to speak to Department of Finance students whenever he is in Southern California. We are so proud of Cohn’s professional accomplishments, his service to his community and his continuing engagement with the CBA. Congratulations, Gary!
