ABSOC Hosts Event for Job Seekers
CBA students ready to meet recruiters at MIE.
The Associated Business Students Organization Council (ABSOC) hosted its 37th annual Meet the Industries Expo (MIE) at the Queen Mary on March 6. Over 200 CBA students interacted with 50 recruiters representing 20 companies at the afternoon job fair. A morning panel featuring The Boeing Company’s Vice President/General Manager David Bowman and Senior College Recruiter A.J. Dale gave advice on professional development and job seeking tips. Former Long Beach Rotary Club President Mark Bixby, who is currently with Pacific Retail Partners, was the luncheon keynote speaker. Boeing was acknowledged as MIE’s Naming Sponsor for 2008-09.
