- Mission Statement for Skills Building Panel
Few doubt that many aspects of the business environment have dramatically changed over the past several years and this upheaval requires that managers and business leaders make significant adjustments. Similarly, we have witnessed a steady stream of unsettling news about the adversity facing California’s institutions of higher education: steep tuition increases, faculty furloughs, cancelled classes, budget cuts, the list goes on. However, we recognize that uncertain times represent a unique opportunity to initiate transformation. Would you like to hear some inspiring news about our efforts to revitalize the College of Business Administration’s MBA Program that exemplify a new era in management education?
The CBA is currently undertaking a major revitalization of MBA education as a way to bring more value to current and prospective MBA students as well as companies that hire our graduates. Our efforts were driven by focusing on our stakeholders’ needs while being attentive to an intense, competitive local and global business environment. Our approach incorporates innovations that only top MBA programs such as Stanford, Yale, and Michigan have attempted. We invite you to discover the results of over two years of analysis, discussions, proposals, and revisions that represent the CBA’s revitalization plan by attending our on-campus conference on February 5. We will be featuring presentations by our faculty that will allow you to see, first hand, what we are proposing as a new way to educate MBA students. Our conference will use four faculty panels to describe our innovative approach to management education. We are eager to receive feedback from esteemed southern California business leaders such as you. Don’t miss the CSULB MBA Revitalization Conference. The Agenda is below. It will be inspiring!
