International Application Procedure
For anyone with a bachelor's degree from a foreign university, or any foreign student should follow the international application procedure.
PLEASE NOTE: There are TWO separate applications required for admission to our program.
IMPORTANT DEADLINE INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS!
FOR FALL SEMESTER
Application filing period: October 1 - April 1
Document deadline: April 15 Please note: This filing deadline is International Admissions mandatory cut-off date. The MBA Office cannot override this deadline.
FOR SPRING SEMESTER
Application filing period: August 1 - October 1
Document deadline: October 15 Please note: This filing deadline is International Admissions mandatory cut-off date. The MBA Office cannot override this deadline.
International students are strongly encouraged to apply as early in the application filing period as possible, as the evaluation process and Visa issues can be lengthy.
PLEASE NOTE: The MBA Program can make no guarantee that those applications filed at the end of the filing period will be processed in time for admissions into the Program.
- The first step is to submit a university application. The application is available in PDF format online through CSUMentor, or in additional electronic formats through our CIE office. An admissions application booklet can also be requested by calling the Center for International Admissions at (562) 985-5476. - The second step is to submit an MBA PROGRAM INFORMATION SHEET This PDF document can either be filled out using your keyboard or printed blank and completed by hand. This requires Adobe Acrobat Reader version 8.0 or higher. A printable version of the Information sheet is also available.
MBA Department Checklist
- GMAT Score (School Code is 364-M9-69) OR GRE score (NOTE: it is the applicant's responsibility to see that this office receives an official set of test scores).
- Resume
- TWO Letters of Recommendation (can be from managers, supervisors, faculty members)
- MBA Program Information Sheet
- Essay Questions. Please refer to “Application Materials” on MBA website for questions.
- Statement of Purpose (1 to 1 1/2 pages discussing your reasons for pursuing an MBA and why you've chosen CSULB for your MBA Program)

International Checklist
- Completed University Application form
- Application processing fee (US $55)
- Official Original TOEFL Score
- Affidavit of Financial Support Form
- Bank Statement from Financial Sponsor
- Official Academic Records and English Translations
- Immigration documentation if applying within the United States

Upon completion of the application and receipt of all documents, the admissions check will be completed. Those students who are granted admission will receive an acceptance notice and either a Certificate of Eligibility (Form I-20) or an IAP-66 form.
