Major in Marketing [code 3-2750]

The discipline of Marketing, which is fundamental to all business enterprises, is largely a social process. The justification of any enterprise, be it involved in service or in the production or delivery of goods, is that it meets the needs of individuals or segments of society. The function of marketing is to determine those needs, to provide the most effective means of informing actual and potential customers of the availability of the services and goods they require, and to deliver such services and goods.

Requirements

  1. Nine (9) units selected from MKTG310, MKTG330, MKTG410, MKTG420, MKTG430, MKTG437, MKTG465, MKTG480, MKTG481, MKTG492.
  2. Required of all majors: MKTG470, MKTG490, and MKTG494.

Minor in Marketing [code 0-2750]

Requirements

  1. Eighteen (18) units including MKTG300; 15 units selected from MKTG310, MKTG330, MKTG410, MKTG420, MKTG430, MKTG437, MKTG465, MKTG470, MKTG480, MKTG481, MKTG490, MKTG492, MKTG495, or CBA 300 (as approved by the Marketing Department).
  2. It is the student's responsibility to adhere to all prerequisite requirements listed below:
    • IS310 is a prerequisite for MKTG470;
    • MKTG480 is a prerequisite for MKTG481; and
    • MKTG300 is a prerequisite for MKTG410, MKTG420, MKTG430, MKTG437, MKTG465, MKTG470, MKTG480, MKTG481, MKTG490, MKTG492, and MKTG495.
