Melody Kiang

Email: mkiang@csulb.edu

Dr. Kiang received her M.S. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison (1987), and her Ph.D. from the University of Texas, Austin (1991). She was an Associate Professor at Arizona State University (1991-1999). Dr. Kiang has published papers in Information System Research (ISR), Management Science (MS), IEEE Transactions on SMC, Decision Support Systems, and other professional journals. She is an associate editor of Decision Support Systems and co-editor in Chief of the Journal of Electronic Commerce Research "http://www.jecr.org".

Teaching Interests: Visual Basic Programming, Internet Application Development, Database Management Systems, Qualitative Analysis and Statistical Decision Making, Statistics, Management Information Systems, System analysis and Design.

Research Interests: The development and applications of artificial intelligence techniques to a variety of management problems. Decision Support Systems, Electronic Commerce, Data Mining.
