Computer Proficiency Exam
All business and pre-business majors shall demonstrate computer literacy and competency prior to taking junior and senior level courses. Requires one of the following:
- Passing score (70%) on the Computer Proficiency Examination (CPE), or
- With Credit (Cr) or "C" or better grade in a transfer equivalent course, or
- Complete IS 233. Introduction to Computer Systems and Applications
CPE is a hands-on computer exam consisting of four Microsoft Office modules: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. The exam is graded as Pass/Fail. To receive a passing grade, 70% of your answers must be correct in EACH of the modules.

Note: Complete the CPE Registration on line by clicking on a date above. Bring payment in the amount of $40.00 to the Cashier's office and tell them it is for the "CPE EXAM". Please keep your receipt for admittance to the exam. Bring the receipt with you on the day of the CPE exam or you will not be permitted to take the test. Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign-in and get set-up. |
