French National Museum Purchases CSULB Faculty Work for Permanent Collection
The Musée national de la céramique in Sèvres, France has announced the purchase of three large pieces by Jay Kvapil, Professor of Ceramics in the School of Art. The pieces are now part of the museum’s permanent collection. Jay Kvapil has been a member of the CSULB community for more than 2 decades, having served as Chair of the Art Department and Director of the School of Art, as well as Associate Dean and Interim Dean of the College of the Arts.
Jay is currently exhibiting at Gallerie Dumonteil in Shanghai, China and in the past two years has had two one-person exhibitions in Paris, one in New York, and one in Los Angeles.
