Published October 15, 2019

The METRIC program welcomed 16 students to the program on September 6, 2019 in Camp Fire Long Beach with presentations from the Career Development Center and the Center for Community Engagement and a series of low- and high-rope challenge courses. Students worked extremely well in solving all challenge courses, the facilitator couldn't believe that it was the first time these people met!

The purposes of the rope courses were meant to:

  1. build camaraderie
  2. allow students to discover their inner strengths apply those strengths through structured activities
  3. provide a safe environment to stimulate students' leadership skills
