Building Accessible Websites

Two multidisciplinary student teams led by Computer Engineering & Computer Science instructor Roni Allen came away with awards at the recent international Knowbility OpenAir web design competition.

The HiveEngine team won first place, while the Dirty Six placed third. Nearly three dozen teams competed in the contest, which aimed to create or improve nonprofit organizations' websites to make them more accessible to users with handicaps.
