Dr. Ping Liu Delivers Keynote at University of Iowa Symposium

Dr. Ping Liu was invited to give a keynote at the Iowa State Chinese Teaching Methodology and Research Symposium held at the University of Iowa. The presentation, “Apply scaffolding to support Chinese language development in a meaningful context”, was a focused discussion on application of theory-based strategies to support active learning and higher-order thinking in Chinese teaching. Questions were posed for the participants to explore subject integrated instruction aligned to the content standards by designing lessons/units to meet diverse students’ needs.
