Dr. Charles Slater Presents in South Africa on Educational Leadership

Dr. Charles Slater returned from South Africa after presenting at the World Educational Research Association (WERA) 2018 World Congress in Cape Town. His presentation, co-facilitated with Dr. José Maria Garduno, Universidad Autónoma de la Ciudad de Mexico and Dr. Kobus Mentz, North-West University, South Africa, entitled “School Leadership in a Global Context: A Meta-analysis of the Findings of the International Study of the Preparation of Principals” shared policy, practice, and research recommendations to advance school principal preparation.

While in South Africa, Dr. Slater also facilitated an educational leadership workshop for 34 school principals at Nelson Mandela University (NMU) with Dr. Mentz and Dr. Bruce Damons, Director of the Centre for the Community School at NMU.
