University Policies on Academic Standards and Other Classroom Business
Policy includes student rights relative to various instruction modes in which classes may be offered (e.g. traditional face-to-face, hybrid, or online classes), including, but not limited to, right to same level of access to faculty regardless of instruction mode, access to reasonable support services and adequate technical support for academic technology.
Policy outlines that students are expected to attend classes, but also lays out reasons where students may have a valid reason to miss class (excused absences), and that students are responsible for informing faculty members of the reason for the absence and for arranging to make up missed assignments, tests, quizzes, and class work insofar as this is possible.
Policy provides definition of cheating and plagiarism; provides for a variety of faculty actions in allegations of cheating or plagiarism; outlines membership and charge of the Academic Integrity Committee; and possible academic actions and disciplinary sanctions.
