How to Apply

Study Abroad workshops covering an overview of all CSULB programs are held throughout the semester. 

Call (562) 985-8429 to sign up for a workshop or visit the office at Brotman Hall 201.


1. Apply through Study Abroad office by deadline. The application procedure is described in the workshops.

2. If accepted an acceptance letter and welcome packet is sent to the student by the overseas school.

3. Obtain passport right away and see consulate if necessary to pay fees or apply for visa.

4. Pay regular CSULB tuition, you will be registered in 12 units of INTL 400 coursework.

5. Purchase airfare and accommodations.

To initiate an official application file for you, you must fill out an information card and attend a workshop or special appointment with a Study Abroad Advisor.

IP Application

The IP Applications (academic year program) are available online. Click here for a direct link. The online IP application for the 2008-2009 year will be available in September.
