The Latino Mental Health Summit
The Latino Mental Health Summit, sponsored by Eli Lilly and Company, was convened in February 2005 and brought together leading Latino researchers and practitioners to participate in the creation of a white paper regarding Latino mental health status and access issues. More than 400 participants attended the summit. A white paper with findings from the Summit was released in 2005 at the NCLR Annual Conference in Philadelphia in July of 2005 and Center staff are currently working to assist NCLR in the evaluation of a promotores de salud mental project (mental health peer education) funded by Eli Lilly and Company.
