Funding Agency: National Institutues of Health Office of AIDS Research

Funding Period: September 2009 - March 2011

The National Institutes of Health Office of AIDS Research has funded the NCLR/CSULB Center for two collaborative projects.  The first grant funded a planning meeting to initiate the development of a larger conference with the goal of illuminating Latino community-based best practices in HIV/AIDS research and prevention programs.  In this effort, the NCLR/CSULB Center held a planning meeting attended by leaders from over 25 organizations and institutions throughout the US who are recognized as forerunners in Latino-specific HIV/AIDS prevention efforts.  The second project involves the receipt of technical assistance funds and guidance to facilitate the dissemination of Center-specific Latino HIV/AIDS publications as well as conference presentations throughout the US and abroad.
